End of the Six Weeks

This week we have been learning about perimeter and circumference. We have used a great deal of class time to develop our use of formulas through whole group instruction, small group instruction and cooperative grouping. We will spend one more day practicing these skills in class in preparation for the Chapter Four test on Monday, Nov. 7th. This test will cover:

multiplying and dividing decimals
perimeter of rectangles and squares
circumference of circles using diameter and radius
unit vocabulary (factor, product, divisor, dividend, quotient, pi, circumference, radius and diameter)

This is our last large grade before the end of the grading period. The grading period will end on Nov. 11th. Students will receive a practice test and an answer key on the 3rd. They should use this in combination with their notes to study for the test.
